This is the question every homeowner starts with and almost no contractor answers straight. We can't publish your number — but we can publish exactly how it gets built, so you can read any bid you receive.
The cost drivers, in order of impact
Square footage sets the floor. After that: tear-out and haul-off of the existing slab, grading and drainage corrections, sub-base condition and compaction, reinforcement, decorative finishes and borders, and site access for trucks and crew. On older Sacramento lots, root systems and drainage frequently outweigh size.
What lowers the number
Straightforward flatwork, a broom finish, an existing sub-base in good condition, and easy access. If your project has all four, say so at the walkthrough — it should show up in the quote.
Published ranges
We do not publish ranges we haven't verified against real Sima Guys projects. Final pricing is provided after the on-site walkthrough and documented in a written proposal.
Why we quote on site, always
A phone number is a guess and guesses get revised — usually after demolition, when you've lost leverage. One walkthrough produces one written proposal covering permits, labor, materials, cleanup, and finishing touches, with the scope defined. Anything unforeseen is explained and approved by you in writing before we proceed.
How to compare bids fairly
Line up scope, not totals: is tear-out included? Sub-base prep? Reinforcement? Jointing plan? Permits? Cleanup? A bid that's noticeably cheaper is often covering noticeably less work.
